Dujiangyan Irrigation System

Built over 2,300 years ago by Li Bing and his son during the Qin State period, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System is the oldest and only surviving water management project in the world that does not use dams. It still irrigates over 668,700 hectares of farmland and provides drinking water for 50+ million people.
